In order to strengthen and standardize the work related to the robot competition and promote the healthy development of the robot industry, CAA approved the establishment of the Robotics Competition and Training Department of Chinese Association of Automation in November 2015, and appointed a full-time deputy secretary-general as the head of the department, in charge of the related work to strengthen management.  The management responsibility concerning robot competitions undertaken by the former "CAA Robotics Competition Working Committee" was exercised by the Robotics Competition and Training Department on behalf of CAA. The Robotics Competition and Training Department is responsible for all the organization, implementation and coordination of robot competition and training, including planning, site selection, outreach, publicity, project setting, etc., to ensure the standardized, procedural and institutionalized operations of RoboCup China Open and CHINA ROBOT COMPETITION hosted by CAA, along with other related competitions. After the establishment of the Robotics Competition and Training Department, "Notice on Defining the Organization of the 2016 RoboCup China Open and CHINA ROBOT COMPETITION" and "Notice on Carrying out the Review of the CHINA ROBOT COMPETITION Project" were issued, among other working papers. The teaching guidance committee of the automation discipline in colleges and universities under the Ministry of Education was coordinated as the co-organizer of the competitions. The review of the CHINA ROBOT COMPETITION project was carried out. The former CAA Robot Competition Working Committee acts as the technical committee of the competition, and continues to offer scholastic and expertise advice, guidance and consultancy to scientifically guide the healthy development of CHINA ROBOT COMPETITION.
